Oh loving and forgiving Lord,
bless [Fr. N] with discernment when hearing confessions
that he may hear the voice of the Holy Spirit above his own.

Lead him, Lord, to forgive in your name as is his duty,
inspired to impart consoling words of the Spirit’s wisdom,
to encourage sinners on their quest to be saints,
and to live in and through You always.
